Times have changed and so our friend the dog, willing and adaptable, has changed too. Hardly a hound nowadays gets to run before the horses is hot pursuit of a fox. Schipperkes now get excited when they see their leash instead of when they smell the sea. And what self-respecting modern Poodle gets to retrieve from water for a living? He’d risk getting rejected by his groomer! Modern dogs relate to modern things. They wake up the alarm clock rings. They rush to the front door when the answering machine gets turned on. Many get vacuumed instead of brushed. Nowadays, dog and machine have to live in harmony—or at least try. These two modern tricks put dog and machine together for some sci-fi type of wacky humor. Try them on for size.
